Fighters For a False Cause
Topaz from DSHRG Rusich reflects on confused foreign right-wingers fighting for Ukraine in Azov and other formations
While this article seeks to gainfully inform all our readers, it may be of special interest to politically aware individuals still in doubt as to the ideals of the Ukrainian groups engaged in the conflict since 2014. An untruth that persistently appears in online discussion regarding the conflict seems to be on the nature of the various paramilitary and militia units formed on both the Ukrainian and Novorossiyan sides during and following the tumultuous events of 2014. For example - British media outlets claim the Donetsk Militias are run by Stalinists who seek to restore the USSR with the aid of Spanish leftists. American media outlets portray Ukraine's brigades as nationalistic freedom-fighters. On other online mediums, such as Telegram and Discord, nationalists the world over are deceived into viewing Ukraine’s struggle as that of a traditional, culturally homogenous nation-state vying off the expansionist ambitions of a neo-communist, multi-ethnic neighbor. Such a portrayal is deeply untrue. This blog seeks to correct such misunderstandings. A more detailed explanation of the situation can be found below our translation of Topaz’s remarks.
Topaz describes meeting a British man who had served alongside the group former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko once referred to as “Our best warriors” and the bizarre equation this “right-winger” makes between Russia’s future and that of his homeland:
I spoke with a British right-winger fighting alongside Ukrainian forces. In short, he absolutely did not care about the fate of Ukraine. He believed that Europe is a prisoner of migrants, corruption and economic decline, and that Russia is a Christian conservative country that is not beholden to Europe. Therefore, he viewed NATO’s victory in Ukraine as the only chance to gain a springboard in Western Europe for the fight for traditional, white Europe and the salvation of his homeland, and that the defeat of Ukraine will lead him to observe the flourishing of a traditionalist Russia, at the expense of Western Europe. What a naive sheep... Ukrainians will wave any flags in front of them that will attract money and weapons for the Ukrainians. It’s just that behind these flags there are stupid, envious and dirty degenerates who will definitely smear any banner they raise above their bad heads with shit, and they have proven this an infinite number of times. Europeans should study history before appointing Ukraine as the hope of their nations, because a nation led by migrants and pederasts is what they will see when they get to know Ukraine better.
The beliefs held by this British fighter are, frankly, absurd. He equates the regeneration of nation and culture in Russia with the present state of degeneration in Western Europe. He is jealous of Russia’s success—or potential success—as a nation, and therefore fights against it. The looseness of this justification aside, what are these foreign volunteers really fighting for? Do they understand the forces present in modern Ukraine? Let us paint a picture -
In post-Maidan Ukraine (especially in large cities), there is active propaganda for the importation of migrants and the introduction of new “traditional” values. Many members of pseudo-right military formations in Ukraine are openly LGBT. A significant portion of the remaining residents in Ukraine dream not only of an economy modeled on the EU. They want to adopt and popularize these new “traditional” values. This British right-winger, like others like him, are literally clinical idiots if they don’t understand and see this. Ukrainians like the path of “development” that most of the Western world is now following. There will be no “bridgehead” if Ukraine wins. If the worst-case scenario comes true, then Russia will face the same fate as Ukraine. The leaders of NATO countries openly say: Their goal is the defeat of Russia. Then they plan to use Russia against China. Just like they are using Ukraine against Russia now. Those. in fact, these “right-wingers” are nothing more than useful idiots helping to achieve the goals of the globalists.
On a final note, Zelensky acknowledged his desire to legalize same-sex marriage in 2022. The same year, Russia officially prohibited “LGBTQ identity” There’s a contrast here, one that needs to be recognized by aware individuals, both those remaining in Ukraine and those living under the thumb of the European Union. The question we ask both foreigners and natives - Is the current state of Ukraine worth fighting for?
