Thanks for this reminder.

These events lead me to work as a translator for the Saker for a while. I must ad that the French Saker was genuinely independant from the so called Saker and could translate or publish any texts we considered relevant without asking any kind of permission.

These events, their perpetrators... Yes the past is calling while the evil incarnate micron (which could conveniently become the scapegoat, in a Girardien meaning) is calling for "official"French troops on the ground. Many French officers and soldiers are not against Russia, to say the least.

the Kremlin regime is surely not a beacon of integrity and sanity but Russia is on the side of truth and justice.

Interesting comment.

As we understand it, there exists widespread dissatisfaction within the French military, and this has only intensified since de Villiers was removed from his post as Chief of the Defense Staff.

Something worthwhile remembering in the Ukraine/Russia context, is that many French soldiers fought against the same Islamists in Central Africa that Russian groups like Wagner are now being hired to repress. Politics and contract-rivalry aside, these men were fighting the same enemy and living under the same conditions - And now there is a supposed expectation that they must suddenly view Russians as sub-human "enemies of global peace".

No. The sentiments held by people in France vary widely, but few hold any as extremely Russophobic as those publically expressed by figures in government. It can be assumed that a similiar dynamic exists in other "Western" nations, although likely to a lesser extent.
